Program Overview
Our Sports Medicine Integrative Therapies and Rehabilitation Certificate is designed for entry-level students and professionals alike who are interested in injury prevention, integrative therapies, sports medicine, rehabilitation and other related professions. This multidisciplined field will address holistic perspectives with interdisciplinary preparation for understanding the body, sports medicine and associated disciplines, common injuries, and a myriad of integrative therapies/modalities that can be used and how they are integrated into various professions and disciplines. Ultimately, this program will provide foundational knowledge, preparation and skills that are inclusive of integrated therapies bridging the gap related to the acceptance, interest and increased demand with using these diverse modalities and traditional healing methods. This knowledge can be applied practically with injury prevention and rehabilitation for anyone who is active, athletes and non-athletes alike recovering from injuries, as well as the general population maintaining optimal health through self-care and a healthy lifestyle. This program can also be stepping stone to support preparation for achieving a variety of future degree pathways. This certificate is designed for a broad base of opportunities in both entry-level, with anticipated growth, and those already credentialed in disciplines to advance their careers and marketability.
