Course Description

Study and execution of stage lighting for the performing arts with emphasis on equipment, control, color, and their relationship to design. Basic principles, history, and practice of stage lighting build a general understanding of the functional process behind the production and development of stage lighting design for live performances. May require practical application of skills during evening and/or weekend work on actual live performing arts events and/or theater productions.
