Program Overview

The Musical Theater Certificate of Achievement provides comprehensive training in the theories and practices of musical performance, with coursework in acting, singing, movement, and dance. This certificate is designed to prepare students for auditions, entry-level roles in the industry, or AA-T programs in Music or Theatre Arts that transfer into four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Bachelor of Music (BM) programs.

Program Requirements

The course requirements for the Musical Theater Certificate of Achievement include a core set of foundational courses focused on developing skills in acting and script analysis, music reading and singing, and dance. These core courses culminate in interdisciplinary musical theater production classes, where students apply their training in a performance setting.
