Course Description

Survey of Latin American Music. Learn about the rhythms and varieties of music in Latin America and the cultural roots that nurture these forms of expression. Music from the Caribbean and South, Central, and North America is covered, including genres such as salsa, merengue, son, rumba, and tangos. Concert attendance may be required.
