Constellation identification, understanding of right ascension and declination, and
basic astronomical measurements of our moon, planets, stars, and universe. Telescopic
and naked eye observations will be assigned. Develops awareness of the scientific
method and how to apply it to specific problems and their solutions.

Prerequisites: MATH 110 and completion of or concurrent enrollment in, ASTR 100 or 115 or 125 (ASTR
115 and 125 are offered at College of San Mateo), or equivalent.
