Scholastic Honors

Honors are awarded at graduation for the Associate of Art or Associate of Science degrees, and Associate Degrees for Transfer, based upon the GPA of all degree-applicable coursework taken at any of the SMCCD Colleges (College of San Mateo, Canada College, Skyline College), together with the GPA of degree-applicable coursework transferred to any SMCCD college from an institutionally accredited college.

Honors at Graduation

Recognition of a student's academic excellence will be given at graduation on the basis of their grade point average according to the following scale:

Grade Point Average	Acknowledgement
3.3	Cum Laude
3.5	Magna Cum Laude
4.0	Summa Cum Laude
