Survey of the history of Mexican people in the United States since the Mexican-American War through an Ethnic Studies lens. Emphasis will be placed on racial frameworks from their roots in the Spanish colonial period to the present, the development of a Chicana/o identity, and the contributions of Chicana/o people.
