Course Description

The first course in a three-course, one-semester sequence in which students learn straight razor shaving, taper cutting, and barbering foundations. The course includes lab time where students will practice learned skills. Upon successful completion of BARB 715, BARB 720, and BARB 725 (a total of 300 hours), the student will be eligible for a Certificate of Specialization from Skyline College and will be able to apply for the written Barbering licensure examination through the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
