Course Description

One of three courses in the first semester of the Barbering Program Sequence. Topics include: properties of hair and scalp, scalp care and conditioning, principles of hair design, haircutting, and basic styling techniques. Subjects learned in class work towards meeting California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology minimum practical operations.
