Specialized courses in Political Science designed for focused investigation of a particular issue or topic. The courses are designed to address theoretical, analytical, or policy issues in politics, or to explore the intersections of politics with social, economic, and cultural phenomena. Topics may include, but are not limited to, immigration policy, economic inequality, housing and homelessness, sports and politics, environmental policy, racial and social justice movements, public health and pandemic policy, the politics of war and terrorism, and the politics of work. Other contemporary issues may also be explored. The course may incorporate discussion-based, research, and project-based approaches.
