Development of the necessary concepts and skills for reasoning logically and quantitatively. Students apply these concepts to practical, real–life situations. Topics include: personal finance, voting methods, code breaking, logic, practical geometry, statistics, linear and exponential modeling. This class will satisfy the math requirement for many liberal arts majors but not for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) majors, Social Science majors, and many Health Professions majors.
