Course Description

One of two courses in a one semester program designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skill development in skin care techniques, facial equipment, body waxing and facial treatments, including the use of microdermabrasion and chemical exfoliation. Includes lab time where students will work in a clinical setting to qualify for the Esthetician examination at the California State Board of Cosmetology. Upon successful completion of ESTI 715, and ESTI 725 (a minimum of 200 hours), the student will be eligible to apply for the Esthetician examination at the California State Board of Cosmetology.

Prerequisites: Completion of a California approved cosmetology program or a valid California cosmetology license; and, admission to the Esthetics program by special application.
