Course Description

Principles and techniques of argumentation and debate, including research in significant social problems and issues, analysis of propositions, evidence, inductive and deductive reasoning, and fallacies of language and thought. Emphasis on developing critical thinking and presentation skills through the practice and evaluation of oral and written arguments. Please note: Beginning fall 2025, COMM 127C is only intended for students who are following the CalGETC general education pattern. Students following the CSU-GE or IGETC general education patterns should take COMM 127.
