Program Overview

The program is conducted in a state-of-art facility with multiple advanced equipment such as Eppendorf Benchtop Fermentor, Media Plate Pour, NanoDrop. Students can pursue two certificates and one Associate Degree in Biotechnology Manufacturing. Furthermore, with AS degree, students can transfer to Solano Community College to pursue their Bachelor's Degree. The Certificate of Achievement in Biotechnology Manufacturing Assistant prepares students with the basic skills and experience for entry employment in biotechnology Manufacturing. The program introduces students to current trends and processes in the biotechnology field. Collaborating with Bay Area Bioscience Education Community (BABEC), our students gain real world work-based experience, they also will develop skills in good manufacturing practices (GMP) by maintaining records and following standard operating procedures. Students will achieve workforce readiness for entry level Manufacturing.
