Course Description

Part 1: This laboratory course reinforces fundamental principles and concepts of astronomy by applying the scientific method through experiments, observations, and/or simulations. Part 2: Constellation identification, understanding of right ascension and declination, and basic astronomical measurements of our moon, planets, stars, and universe. Telescopic and naked eye observations will be assigned. Develops awareness of the scientific method and how to apply it to specific problems and their solutions. (Formerly ASTR 101)
