Course Description

A brief survey of the concepts and traditions of art through history and diverse cultures. Historical events, customs, traditions, and technology are evaluated as integrated and interactive elements which influence the creation of art. Through recognition of the communicative abilities of art, the functions and values of art to cultures and the individual are explored. (Formerly ART 130)
