Program Overview
The Certificate of Achievement in University Transfer - Cal-GETC (California General Education Transfer Curriculum) will be awarded upon completion of the Cal-GETC requirements as outlined in the catalog year's Cal-GETC certification sheet. Students must complete 34 units, which are distributed among six subject areas. Cal-GETC requirements are designed to be taken with a major area of study in preparation for transfer to a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) system. Some private and out-of-state colleges may accept Cal-GETC. This certificate recognizes the completion of lower-division general education requirements for Cal-GETC.
