Program Overview

This one-semester certificate will allow students to explore the Early Childhood profession by completing 7 units in ECE that will introduce students to the profession (history, theoretical foundations, types of programs, quality indicators and curriculum), to principles of child development, and to the role and responsibilities of an educator. Students choosing to continue in ECE will be given a recommended student education plan for the following semester.
