Course Description
An in-depth study of domestic and import computerized engine controls. Emphasis will
be placed on the theory, operation, and testing procedures necessary to accurately
diagnose and repair driveability complaints. Students will receive instruction necessary
to take the State of California test for obtaining a Qualified Test and Repair Mechanic's
License (Smog).

Prerequisites: Admission to the Automotive Technology Program through special application; and,
AUTO 751 or AUTO 749 with a minimum grade of C; or, four years of engine performance
work experience verifiable through letters from employers.
