Guardian Scholars Program: Foster Youth

The Guardian Scholars Program’s purpose is to create a network of support that will meet the academic, social, emotional, and financial needs of college-bound students transitioning out of the foster care system or who identify as a current or former foster youth. The program is fully committed to empowering these youth to become self-supporting, conscious community leaders, role models, and competent professionals in their fields of interest.

We also provide additional resources, services, and a dedicated space to all current and former foster youth at Skyline College.

Students may be eligible for the following resources:

  • Transportation assistance
  • School Supplies
  • Lunch Vouchers
  • Employment opportunities
  • Additional scholarships
  • Financial Aid Liaison
  • Priority Registration

We provide a comprehensive support program to help you complete a vocational certificate program, achieve an AA/AS/ADT degree, and/or transfer to a four-year college institution.
